Online identities are easy to assemble and difficult to test from the inside of a conversation. A profile can present a name, a city, a profession and a photograph without any of them being connected to the same person.

What is the difference between this and a background check website?
Automated sites match a name against records and return whatever the database holds. Verification here starts from the identity actually presented to you — the profile, the photographs, the claims — and tests whether public information supports it. A person reviews the result and states how confident the finding is.
I only have a first name and a few photographs. Is that enough?
Sometimes. Images, usernames, phrasing reused across profiles and small biographical details are all research routes. The assessment will tell you honestly whether the starting information supports meaningful research before you pay.
Will the person be contacted?
